Your partner can learn how to help you in labor
Counter Pressure
This father is providing some
much needed counter pressure.
A Shoulder to lean on
This mom is in transition and is
using the father for a supported
squat. His closeness is
extremely important to this mom.
I am offering a new series called Labor Preparation for Dads.
In this short 2 day series, your partner can learn the in's and
out's of labor support taught by a certified labor doula. This
class is more extensive then the techniques you might learn
in childbirth preparation and designed as a supplement to
your childbirth preparation class or in addition to the 1 day
preparation class I now have available.

We all want our partners to be there 100% for us and they
want to be there too, but they might not know the skills and
things to say to you during your labor. This class will help
teach your partner how to help you and you will both be able
to look back on your birth with loving memories of the bond
you shared.

In this session you will learn:
Comfort measures and techniques
Birth plan preparation
Positions to help facilitate labor
Optimal Fetal Positioning techniques to start at 34 weeks
Your choices in childbirth
Advocacy
How to effectively communicate with hospital staff

This session can be taught in the privacy of your own home
or as a group.

*Group sessions begin:
Dec 9th & 16th
Jan 13th & 20th
Feb 17th & 24th

preferably after you have completed a childbirth education
series at your delivery hospital or private class.
