There are so many things that women believe they MUST do at birth or for their babies. We don't fully understand
the risks of many procedures and mothers and babies are dying because of this. Your doctor is human just like
you are. It is important that you understand there are motivations to every procedure your doctor or midwife may
request; whether they will gain financially from it, benefit by getting more sleep or the ability to leave for their
vacation on-time, or whether you have a true medical problem. It is difficult to determine by yourself. Having a birth
doula by your side can help you learn about these issues and ask the right questions of your care provider. It's
the sad truth that WE must take our own health into our hands and that we need to be more informed then ever
before. Please take some time to read the below DID YOU KNOW facts. Feel free to email me with questions.
